The MCLA.us Reborn – Worth The Wait

mcla_landing

Today the MCLA (Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association) and MCLA The Lax Mag, LLC announce the launch of a new mcla.us web site. The Official Website of the MCLA is open to the public starting today and is currently located at /.

Development on this new web presence began in late 2008 as part of a joint effort to increase awareness and branding of the MCLA, aka Project Fief. The new site is focused on providing fans of the MCLA detailed information and heavily emphasizes the current players of the MCLA as well as their performance throughout the 2009 season. A player leaderboard is promptly featured on the front page, displaying the top 5 players in Points Per Game, Goals Per Game, and Save Percentage in both Division I and Division II. Additional statistics and leaders can be viewed and sorted on the Player Stats page.

Also accessible from the front page are the 20 most recently entered games scores, with easy to identify team logos for checking scores at a glance.

Finally, mcla.us is now poised to more appropriately act as the central location for official league news, press releases, and general announcements. Users can subscribe to the RSS feed for immediate notification of updates or watch the front page for new headlines.

Today’s launch is the first step towards reinforcing the online presence of the MCLA. Much like the MCLA itself, mcla.us site will continue to evolve as feedback from teams, players, alumni, and fans rolls in. Individual team pages, conference pages, and a few surprises will be rolled out in the coming days and weeks. We’d love to hear from you, whether its a simple suggestion, a detailed feature request, or just a few kind words. Drop us a line at email address enkoded
