2009 MCLA National Tournament
May 12-16, 2009 | Denver, Colorado
The MCLA is taking lacrosse to new heights as the National Championships move to Denver, Colo., where in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, lacrosse has developed a rabid following. With league-topping attendance for both of the city's professional teams and 59 high school programs created in the 10 years since the sport was first sanctioned by the Colorado High School Athletic Association, Denver is the lacrosse capital of the West.
The MCLA has partnered with NDP Lacrosse and the 2009 Mountain States Toyota LaxFest, the largest lacrosse event west of the Mississippi River. This massive, one-day Colorado youth lacrosse exhibition featuring 260 boys’ teams made up of 2nd through 8th graders will run Saturday, May 16, in conjunction with the MCLA Division 1 and 2 finals.
Making this year’s tournament even bigger is that Fox College Sports will be broadcasting the Division 1 semi-finals game and both championship games live. Check with your local cable provider to find out how to get Fox College Sports.
So, whether you follow the games on the MCLA.us Web site, watch live at home, or come out to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, make sure you are a part of this exciting, affordable, fun-for-all-ages event.
See you in Denver!
