UNH Promotes Ben Clark to Head Coach
DURHAM, NH (08/18/2011) – The University of New Hampshire Men’s Lacrosse Team is proud to announce that they have selected Ben Clark as their new head coach. He played high school lacrosse at Dover High School in Dover, NH, coached by legendary UNH player and coach John Silverio. He played college lacrosse at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, receiving PCLL All-Conference recognition as an attackman in 2003. Clark has been with the team for the last three years and has served as offensive coordinator and co-head coach. He is an extremely active supporter of the MCLA and currently serves as PCLL Commissioner. He hopes to bring dedication and enthusiasm to the UNH Lacrosse family and to continue the growth of the sport in New Hampshire.
“I couldn’t be happier with the group of guys we’ve got returning,” said Clark. ”We’ve got a great balance of young talent and senior leadership. I can’t wait to get to work – we’re going to have a blast.”
The New Hampshire Wildcats are coming off a season in which they were narrowly defeated in the conference playoffs. Clark will be looking to lead the UNH lacrosse team back to the top 25 and a National Tournament bid. Follow the Wildcats on unhlacrosse.com.
