RMLC Conference Tournament to be held in Grand Junction
Grand Valley Lacrosse is hosting for the second year, the Rocky Mountain College Lacrosse Conference Championships (RMLC) May 3, 4 and 5. Ten Division I and Division II college club teams will play eight games at Walker Field at Colorado Mesa University. Colorado State University, University of Colorado, Brigham Young University, University of Utah, University of Northern Colorado, Regis University, Colorado School of Mines and Montana State are among the sixteen teams that are trying to qualify to play. The winners of each division will go to the National Championships in Greenville, South Carolina. Last year at Walker Field, Colorado State University beat Brigham Young for the Division I conference championship and Westminster beat University of Northern Colorado in Division II.
Division II quarterfinals begin on Thursday, May 3, with games at 4:00 and 7:00. Division II semifinals will be played Friday, May 4, at 10:00 and 1:00. Division I teams take the field for the semifinals on Friday, May 4, at 4:00 and 7:00. The finals for each division will be played on Saturday, May 5, with Division II at 2:00 and Division I at 5:00. Tickets will be on sale at the gate for $5 for adults and college students, $3 for students from elementary through high school and $1 for all high school and youth lacrosse players per day.
This is a fundraiser for Grand Valley Lacrosse. Grand Valley Lacrosse is the non-profit organization providing the opportunity for boys and girls of all levels of ability to experience instructional and competitive lacrosse. It is home to boys and girls youth lacrosse, high school junior varsity and varsity teams.
