JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Purdue is the defending conference champion, but traditional Big Ten archrival Indiana has been slotted as the favorite to take down the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference's Division I championship according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Hoosiers were allotted six of the nine first place votes (teams were not allowed to rank themselves) while the Boilermakers grabbed just a pair.
Iowa was awarded the third spot, just five points behind Purdue. Missouri, which snagged the remaining first place tally, filled out the top four.
