ATLANTA – They have still yet to play a game in the 2017 season, but St. Thomas sits firmly atop the first regular season Under Armour MCLA Division II poll.
The Tommies will open their season on March 3 at No. 3 North Dakota State in a game with major polling – and seeding – implications for May.
No. 2 Grand Valley State will open its season on Feb. 28 in an interdivisional matchup with Davenport.
Concordia-Irvine and Dayton round out the Top 5.
Missouri State and Cal State San Marcos dropped out the polls from the preseason edition, making way for Western Washington, Montana and Appalachian State.
