Northeastern Hosting Fall Classic
BOSTON – The Northeastern men’s lacrosse team will be hosting a four-team Fall Classic on Nov. 18 that boasts an international flavor.
The Huskies will entertain Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League (PCLL) Division I rivals Boston College and New Hampshire along with IDC Herzliya, a private college from Israel, at Parsons Field in Brookline.
“This is an exciting opportunity for teams in the United States to play against high quality international talent,” said Northeastern coach Chris Boland.
Northeastern won the PCLL Division I championship last spring, edging UNH in the title game and earning a trip to the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour. Boston College fell to UNH in the PCLL semifinals.
Northeastern (No. 18) and Boston College (No. 24) both finished in the final Top 25 MCLA poll.
IDC Herzliya, located 10 miles north of Tel Aviv, participates in the Israel Premier Lacrosse League. Herzliya qualified for the IPLL playoffs last season.
“Northeastern is proud to host this annual fall classic with top national and international talent,” added Boland.
