ATLANTA – For the first time this season, there is a consensus No. 1 team in the Under Armour Division II Weekly Poll. Minn.-Duluth grabbed all 21 first-place votes in the fourth installment of the ranking.
The Bulldogs (5-0), who have been in first place the entire season, always saw St. Thomas (2-2) grab at least three first-place votes. With a pair of losses at Music City Judgement II, the Tommies now occupy the fifth spot.
Sitting in the No. 2 slot is now Dayton (6-0), whose 3-0 mark at Judgement – including a win over St. Thomas – vaulted the Flyers up from No. 8.
No. 3 Kennesaw State (8-1) is another team that as moved up on the backs of St. Thomas. The Owls went 2-1 at Judgement, including the Tommies win, with the only loss coming to Duluth.
No. 4 St. John’s fills out the top five.
Rice (5-1) left the poll this week to make way for No. 23 Utah State (2-1).
