After a tough battle in the first quarter, ending in a 3-all tie, UNT slowly took control of the game. TCU did a good job facing off in the first quarter, but UNT was able to win the majority of face-offs from the second quarter on. The two teams continued to battle it out in the second quarter which ended with UNT up 6-5. UNT scored 7 goals in the third quarter, which were answered by TCU scoring 5 to make it 13-10 UNT at the end of the third. UNT outscored TCU in the final quarter 4-1 which ensured a 17-11 victory. TCU put up a great fight through out the game by taking advantage of transition play. Good job for both teams.
UNT is off to Norman, Oklahoma to take on University of Oklahoma on Sunday February 15 at 12 pm.
Final From Fort Worth UNT 17 - TCU 11. Despite the 9 mintues of penalties called against the Horned Frogs the team was able to battle to 12-11 in the Third Quarter. TCU moved the ball well and was able to get some chances against an athletic UNT team. As the game progressed an the Horned Frogs tried to regain possesion UNT was able to put in 2 goals in the last minute to seal a victory.
Next up for the Horned Frog is Texas State Sunday in San Marcos with a 1 pm faceoff time.
