Burnaby, BC (February 14, 2009) – No. 5 Simon Fraser University outscored Washington State University 14-2 in each half of play for a dominating 28-2 win over the second-year Cougars.

All twenty-five (25) players saw significant minutes for the Clan with twelve (12) players registering points. Starters Adam Foss (Cochrane, Alberta / Cochrane High School) with 8 points on 5 goals and 3 assists, Russell Thomas (Nanoose Bay, BC / Ballenas Secondary) with 7 points on 4 goals and 3 assists, and Ben Towner (Port Coquitlam, BC / Terry Fox High School) with 6 points on 3 goals and 3 assists continued to pace SFU in points despite playing limited minutes. Strong secondary scoring was provided by Kevin Riley (Coquitlam, BC / Gleneagle Secondary) with 5 points on 4 goals and 1 assist and Ben Davies (New Westminster, BC / New Westminster Secondary) and Shawn Donahue (Kamloops, BC / South Kamloops Secondary) with 3 goals each. Senior defender Matt Brascia (Coquitlam, BC / Dr. Charles Best Secondary) capped off the Clan win scoring the first goal of his collegiate career.

Ross) 1g; Darryl Stickler (Coquitlam, BC / Centennial High School) 1g.
- Clan goaltenders Mike Ripley (Saskatoon, SK / E.D. Feehan High School) and Dean Stewart (Duncan, BC / Claremont Secondary) split halves in goal combing for 3 saves and 2 goals against.
- Fraser registered 36 ground balls. Midfield Ryan Hodge (San Antonio, Texas / Texas Military Institute), and long poles Curtis Manning (Surrey, BC / Fraser Heights Secondary), and Nathan Clare (Ladner, BC / Vancouver College) led the way for the Clan with 6, 5 and 4 ground balls respectively.
- The Clan extended their home winning streak to 11 games dating back to April 1, 2006.
