Game Commentary Provided by Teams

SOU came out fired up and controlled the tempo of the game by possessing the ball and taking good shots. Another big day for #6 winning 14 of the first 15 face-offs and 16 of 20 overall. Game ball goes to #1 T. Baumann for his 5 goal effort playing through an injury.
Thanks for hosting Santa Cruz!!
The morning after a week of final exams, Santa Cruz brought a B-rate first three quarters. The Slugs spent over an 1/8 of the game in the penalty box. Southern Oregon's Tyler Baumann carried the team on a broken leg with half of their goals in the first half. Santa Cruz finally rallied in the 4th quarter by taking more shots on offense and completely locking off on defense. This resulted in 5 goals for and only 1 against the Slugs, however too little and too late.

Over all, a great performance by Southern Oregon's attack men and a harsh lesson learned on the importance of practice attendance for the Slugs. Next up Fullerton.
