Game Commentary Provided by Teams

Davenport hasn't commented on this game yet...
Grand Valley continues to be its own worst enemy when playing strong teams. The Lakers came out strong in the first but let Davenport back in with poor clearing and penalties. Davenport had a very strong 2nd quarter. GVSU made multiple mistakes with clearing and took 20 more shots than the Panthers but were unable to get them on net. The Panthers goalie did make some great saves and Shawn Beer played a great game getting 10 points. Davenport did an excellent job of capitalizing on our mistakes. When you play a team with that much firepower you have to play smarter. Grand Valleys attack line was strong and got to the net well all day combining for 13 goals.
Officiating was questionable at times and some of the cheap shots, dives and trash talk can overshadow what a talented lacrosse team Davenport really is. That aside, tough loss for Valley, great win for Davenport.
