Game Commentary Provided by Teams

Montana State hasn't commented on this game yet...
A competitive first quarter, the Bobcats led at 4-3 at the first intermission. In the 2nd quarter the Griffins surged to a 7-4 halftime lead and never looked back. Jacob Wayman led all scorers with a goal and five assists while fellow sophomore Josh Condas found the net five times. Freshman midfielder Kevin Gee notched a hat trick for his second straight week. Gee also added an assist. Senior attackman Rick Larkin dished out 3 assists and scored one goal.

The defense was led by senior Zach Kessler. Sophomore Dallas McLellen had 17 saves allowing just five goals, while freshman Matt Balk made is debut in the cage with three saves and held the Bobcats scoreless for 10 minutes of heated action. Balk also added a goal while playing as a midfielder earning a piece of the "game ball" for his contribution. This post game honor was shared with Sophomore Lance Nielsen won 17 face-offs.

The Griffins are on the road to Southern California next weekend as the take on a surging Cal State Fullerton squad on the 21st. Sunday they will meet Western Washington at Biola University.
