Sunday afternoon the Ducks looked to exact revenge for their Friday night’s loss on another league rival, the University of Washington, who were trying to move up in the rankings with an upset win. After the loss to Simon Fraser, the Ducks felt as though they had to win against UW to preserve their seeding for the PNCLL playoffs and stop their losing skid. Oregon started the game strong and never looked back against the Huskies, holding the lead 5-2 at the end of the first and 9-3 at halftime in the last home game of the year for the University of Oregon. It was clear that the Ducks wanted to send their seniors out on a good note as they controlled the ball for the majority of the game on offense and played tenacious take away defense from the get-go. After Oregon had put in some of their younger players to get experience, Washington scored five goals in the fourth quarter but by then the game was out of reach. The final score ended at 16-9 in favor of the Ducks.
