Game Commentary Provided by Teams

Fort Lewis came out slow against Texas Tech after a 10 hour drive to Lubbock. Tech took full advantage and came out quick with a goal off the first face off. The Skyhawks would battle through the first quarter but could not get an offense generated in the second quarter. Tech would win the first have 6-2.

With this game being the first time the Fort has seen grass since November, they began to get the spacing right in the second half. The Skyhawks would win the third quarter 3-2 but could not get things going enough to pull out of the early deficit. Tech was able to hold on to its early lead and beat Fort Lewis.

The Skyhawks were kept alive by a stellar performance from goaltender Sean Claussen. The offense was led by senior Erik Johnson with 5 points. On the ground Matt Cawley led the field with 6 GB's. Fort Lewis would like to thank Texas Tech and wish them the best for the rest of the season. Look for the skyhawks to play NAU on March 5th for their first RMLC test and return attack Matt Lindsley to the lineup.
