Fort Worth, TX: TCU opened up Division play with a 6-5 victory over the visiting Red Raiders. Both teams gained possesion in the first quarter only to see thier shots saved or sail wide.
Texas Tech would find the net first in the second quarter. The Horned Frogs answered two minutes later with a goal from Cameron Deptula. After exchanging possesions TCU found themselves with the ball and 10 seconds left. After a time out with TECH in a Zone Cameron Deptual was able to score with 3 seconds remaining.
Starting the third quarter the Horned Frogs came out ready to score. Davis Felder would notch his first goal on a great feed to start the scoring. After a Tech penalty the Horned Frogs spun the ball around and found a wide open Tyler Jackson who buried the ball from up top in the back of the net. Closing out the quarter Felder would find the back of the net on a great one on one move. At the end of the quarter the score was 5-2 Horned Frogs.
The very physical fourth quarter was an up and down frentic pace. Tech would score off a broken clear to bring the lead down to 5-3. Answering back a minute later on a great clear close defenseman Patrick McDonald cleared the ball the length of the field and found a cutting Michael Burciaga for a great finish.
Tech would score with 3 minutes left and then get a last second goal to leave the final score at 6-5 Horned Frogs.
The TCU Lacrosse Horned Frogs are back in action Friday February 26th vs. Oklahoma State. Faceoff time is set for 7:00 pm on the intramural fields.
