The KSU Owls (SELC) faced off against the Bearkats of Sam Houston State University (LSA) in Huntsville, Texas for a Monday night show down. The score was tied at 3 a piece after the first quarter. The Owls made a few slight adjustments and went into halftime with a 7-4 lead. In the second half the KSU offense opened up on the Bearkats. Scott Schulze, and Andrew Congleton were the high scores for the Owls. Defensively Murray Webb, Tom Mudrak, and Rory Keown made it tough for the Bearkats to scores of SHSU. The Owls wish to thank SHSU and Coach Fritts for the contest and their "Lone Star State" hospitality. KSU heads to Shreveport for a game with Centenary today.
Rain stayed away and made for a great night to play some ball!
Sam Houston jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead at 14:09. The Owls answered with 3 quick goals at 11:30, 11:18 and 10:06. SH came back at 3:59 and :48 to end the 1st quarter tied at 3.
Kennesaw took control after that outscoring Sam Houston 4-1 in the 2nd; 5-2 in the 3rd and 3-1 in the 4th.
