The Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs edged the Kennesaw State Owls 15-14 in a game that had ten led changes. The game was a typical SELC shootout that went down to the final two minutes of play with the Bulldogs Ryan Horvath nailing the game winner with 2:02 left to play. KSU failed at critical times to contain the explosive Tennessee Wesleyan attack unit of Horvath and freshman Jacob Estrada. Scoring well for the Owls was standout attackman Scott Schulze producing 6 goals and an assist. Another key element to the Bulldog victory was the dominance of face off specialist Anthony Hunt winning 19 of 25 draws. The efforts of both teams produced a very exciting contest to the delight of the frost bitten crowd at the "Owls Nest" on the KSU campus. Games like this are an example of the high quality of lacrosse played within the SELC. The Owls wish he Tennessee Wesleyan good luck and safe travels during the 2010 season.
