The Kennesaw State Owls completed their spring trip to Texas with a 20-5 victory over the Centenary Gents in Shreveport, LA. KSU jumped out early against a competitive squad from Centenary. The Owls seemed in full control at halftime and gave many reserve players time. Twelve different players scored goals with attack men Trent Dean posting 3 goals and 7 assits. KSU won all 3 games against opponents from the LSA. The Owls wish the Centenary Gents good luck and appreciate the opportunity to visit Shreveport, LA.
Shreveport - After falling to 22nd ranked Sam Houston State a week and a half earlier, the Gents took on 17th ranked Kennesaw State (GA) on Tuesday night but fell 20-5. The ever improving club got balanced scoring from a host of Gents including, Matt Volentine, Colton Cowley, Michael Hiller, David Lee and Taylor McCook. Midfielder Adam Nerio added two assists and Rob Grand had one. Volentine and Grand we also a force at the faceoff "X" winning majority of the draws all night. A bright spot on defense, freshman Mike Vaugn, picked up the long stick and earned valuable playing time for the rest of the season. The laxers are back in action on March 21st as they take on rival Stephen F Austin on Mayo field at 1pm.
