DENVER – After winning the conference in just its second year in the MCLA and advancing to the national semifinals, Air Force is the favorite to repeat as Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC) Division II champs, according to the preseason coaches poll.

The Falcons (12-2) grabbed seven of the nine first-place votes to easily sit at the head of the table. Air Force had just one regular season loss – to fellow national semifinalist Cal State San Marcos – before bowing to eventual national champion Dayton.

Montana State (14-3), which lost to Air Force in the RMLC title game after squandering an early, three-goal lead, is ranked No. 2. The Bobcats, which also qualified for the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, accounted for the remaining two first-place votes.

Utah State (9-8) fell to Air Force in the RMLC semifinals and grabbed the third spot in the poll while MSU Denver (6-4), which fell to Montana State in the other semi, rounds out the top four of the nine-team league.
