ATLANTA – The Under Armour MCLA Division II Coaches Poll looks similar to what it has been during the previous four weeks – Dayton on top, followed by Concordia-Irvine – but the rankings could get jumbled quickly after the conclusion of this coming weekend.
South Barrington, Ill., will be the site of a round robin event featuring eight ranked teams, including seven in this week’s Top 10.
No. 1 Dayton, No. 3 St. Thomas, No. 4 North Dakota State, No. 6 Minn.-Duluth, No. 7 Grove City, No. 8 St. John’s and No. 9 Grand Valley State all converge on the suburb located 30 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.
Top-ranked Dayton will receive an especially tough challenge, facing No. 4 North Dakota State, No. 6 Minn.-Duluth and No. 8 St. John’s in consecutive days. It’s a schedule that will be harder than anything the Flyers might see at the 2016 MCLA National Tournament powered by Under Armour, which features an off day after the first two rounds.
The Top 5 remained intact from last week and there were no new additions or subtractions from the poll.
