BOSTON – Bridgewater (Mass.) State has been earned the automatic qualifying bid in Division II of the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League and will represent the conference at the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will be held in Orange County, Calif., from May 9-14.

Due to exam conflicts with numerous eligible PCLL-II schools, Bridgewater State emerged as the choice by the conference’s executive board. It is the first-ever selection to nationals for the Bears, who finished 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the PCLL North division.

The PCLL will still host a year-end invitational tournament, which will be held at Brown University in Providence, R.I. It will run in conjunction with the PCLL Division I tournament.

Both the Division I and Division II events are free to the public.
