ATLANTA- UNC-Wilmington midfielder Dylan Bryson has been named MCLA Division II Warrior Playter of the Week following a nine point performance across two games against Coastal Carolina and Kennesaw State. The junior from Raleigh tallied a goal and two assists in the overtime win against the Chanticleers. The next day against the Owls, Bryson added four goals and two more assists as the Seahawks won 19-8. The Seahawks have had a strong early season and look to be contenders in the ALC Division II.
UNC-Wilmington head coach Will Farrow said, “This was a huge weekend us as a team and we have been playing great team ball on both sides of the ball, but we needed a real x factor with these two games we had, and Dylan was that for us this weekend. Dylan really stepped up for us with 5 goals and 4 assists. Specially he was key in our win over Coastal. There might not be a more smooth lefty shooter on the east coast. Regardless of which line of midfield he runs, he is always on man up, and either finds the open man or the back of the net. As a returning all-conference midfielder we have high expectations for Dylan, and he is filling those shoes.”
Congratulations to Dylan who will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O head – a $120 value for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
