ATLANTA – After putting up monster numbers during a West Coast sweep of ranked teams, Brigham Young junior attackman Seth Garff has been named the MCLA Division I Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending March 13.

The Cougars started the week against No. 21 Cal Poly and the Danville, Calif., product connected for a hat trick and a dime in a 13-4 victory.

The next day, Garff played the role of distributor in an 18-5 win over No. 23 Dominican, dishing out three assists while also potting a pair of goals.

The trip was capped on Saturday with a triumph over No. 8 Santa Clara, and this time Garff exploded for five goals along with a helper.

For the week, Garff posted 10 goals and five assists for 15 points.

“Seth is a leader on and off the field,” said Brigham Young coach Matt Schneck. “This weekend was no exception as he led the team in points. His dynamic personality and calming approach to heated situations on the field is an example for all of his teammates. He leads an incredible attack corps that may prove to be one of the best in the MCLA this season.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Garff will receive a Warrior Burn XP-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
