PITTSBURGH – The Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association (CCLA) has wrapped up its Division II quarterfinals, meaning the conference is ready to move to its semifinal and final destination – Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh.
All of the seeds held in the D-II quarterfinals, setting up a pair of heavyweight matchups next Friday. Lourdes will battle Siena Heights while Grand Valley State faces defending national champion Dayton.
The Division I side of the CCLA has been settled, as well. There was a three-way tie for the top seed, but the tiebreaker quickly determined the seeds. Michigan State grabs the top spot and will face Western Michigan in the semifinals. Davenport and Pittsburgh clash in the other semifinal.
The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday. The champion in each division will earn an automatic qualifying bid to the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour. The nationals run from May 9-14 in Orange County, Calif.
