ORANGE, Calif. -- Wesley Greason ripped a shot from low-to-high with under 10 seconds remaining in the first overtime, giving top-ranked Chapman a dramatic, 13-12 victory over No. 3 Colorado on Sunday afternoon.
After a loose-ball push was called on Colorado (4-2) during a Chapman (8-0) fast break, Greason picked up the ball, stepped outside the box and got a quick restart from the official. He quickly dodged a defender and found space from about 12 yards out for the game-winner.
Prior to Greason's heroics, Panther goalie Gus Gradinger made two critical saves with under a minute left in overtime to give Chapman the opportunity to stay undefeated. CU goalie Jensen Makarov was also solid on the day, turning away 19 Chapman shots.
