BOSTON – It was a tight race at the top, but Northeastern has been chosen as the favorite in Division I of the Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC), according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Huskies (13-2), who finished up as the runner up in the conference last spring, grabbed a pair of first-place votes to solidify the top spot.
Northeastern edged out Boston College (9-6) for the top spot despite the Eagles downing the Huskies, 9-8, to win the league last year and qualify for the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance. BC was awarded the other two first place votes*.
New Hamsphire (4-7) checks in at No. 3 followed by Connecticut (4-8) in fourth.
