ATLANTA – Concordia-Irvine posted a pair of Top 5 road victories over the weekend thanks to the outstanding play of freshman attackman Jonah Rinaldi, who grabbed MCLA Division II Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 5.

On Saturday night against No. 5 St. John’s, Rinaldi tallied a hat trick and set up a fourth goal, helping the Eagles roll past the Johnnies, 13-6.

The Laguna Beach, Calif., native followed that up with four goals and four assists in a triumph over No. 3 North Dakota State on Sunday. Rinaldi also combined for seven ground balls in the two contests.

“Jonah is a matchup nightmare because of his speed, quickness and tenacity on the ride,” said Concordia coach Ryan Brent. “The guys understand that team success will bring individual success and nobody embodies that philosophy more than Jonah. He is easily one of the most unselfish players on our team and is always looking to get other people involved.”

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Rinaldi will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
