ATLANTA – After a stunning Monday evening upset of the former top-ranked team in MCLA Division I, Georgia Tech has moved into the No. 1 position of the New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll for the first time this season.

The Yellow Jackets (8-0) grabbed 18 of the 27 first-place votes to move into the big chair for the first time since the final regular season poll of 2023. Georgia Tech will put its top billing to the test when they travel to the East Bay this weekend to tangle with ninth-ranked Texas (6-0) and hosts Cal-Berkeley (4-2), ranked No. 13.

Chapman (5-0), aided by a first-place ballot, springs up a spot to No. 2. The Panthers entertain No. 11 Florida (4-2) on Sunday in SoCal.

Formerly top-ranked Virginia Tech (8-1) finds itself seated third after being upset on Monday at No. 14 Colorado (3-2), 15-12. With the odd timing of the game, the Hokies benefited from six first-place votes despite the setback.

Brigham Young (2-0), which won its first two games against ranked teams by an average margin of 18 goals, bumps up to No. 4, bolstered by a pair of top votes. Even with a pair of ranked wins, Utah Valley (4-0) dips a spot to No. 5.

Boston College (1-3) drops out of the poll to make way for No. 23 Colorado State (3-1).
