ATLANTA -- There's a new No. 1 in the MCLA Division I New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll. After seeing the long-time top dog stumble against a conference rival, Liberty has ascended to the top of the charts for the first time this spring.

The Flames (13-1) moved up a spot to No. 1 after crushing a pair of conference rivals over the weekend, answering the bell after Brigham Young (12-1) lost on Thursday evening to No. 10 Colorado (8-4). Liberty was award 23 of the 26 first-place votes cast this week.

The Cougars dipped to No. 3 - the first time they've not been leading the way all season, although they did remain on the top of one ballot.

Florida (11-2) bumped up a spot to No. 2 after an idle week, and will face archrival and No. 9 Florida State (10-4) on Friday in one of the semifinals of the SELC tournament. The Gators also grabbed one first-place vote.

Following BYU at No. 4 is fellow RMLC rival Utah Valley (9-2). The Wolverines managed to defeat Coloado following the Buffs upset of the Cougars, earning them a first-place vote. Texas (8-3) rounds out the Top 5 after the Longhorns survived in overtime against Southern Methodist.

Not surprisingly, Colorado was the big mover this week, climbing four spots while Tennessee (10-3) rose three spots to No. 12 after knocking off No. 13 Virginia Tech (9-5). There were no new additions to the poll.
