ATLANTA – Defending national champion Michigan State remained firmly entrenched as the top-ranked team in the second installment of the Under Armour MCLA Division I Weekly Coaches Poll.

The Spartans (2-0) grabbed 15 of the 22 first place votes this week as they prepare for the biggest game of their season. Michigan State travels to face No. 9 Chapman in a rematch of the title game from the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.

Cal (5-0), coming off a comfy win over No. 15 Florida State, entrenches itself in the No. 2 spot, garnering the remaining seven first-place votes.

South Carolina (3-0) loses its one first-place vote from last week but still remains in the third chair.

On the strength of a win over Chapman over the weekend, Georgia Tech (5-0) jumped from No. 8 to No. 4. Concordia-Irvine (4-0) stands pat and rounds out the Top 5.

Georgia and New Hampshire exit the poll this week to make way for No. 19 Colorado State and No. 24(t) Davenport.
