D-II Poll: Still UC San Diego

ATLANTA – For the third straight week, UC San Diego is the top team in the land according to the MCLA Division II New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll, which was released on Wednesday.

The Tritons (9-0) will finish up its regular season with four straight SLC divisional games, including a pair of home tilts this weekend against Arizona Christian and Northern Arizona. UCSD was awarded 26 of the 27 first-place votes.

UNC-Charlotte (10-0) strengthened its grip on No. 2 after locking up the top seed in the ALC South. The 49ers are now 29 points clear of the third-ranked Florida Atlantic (10-2). The Owls wrap up their regular season this weekend in Boca Raton when they host No. 18 Miami (8-2)

Northwest Nazarene (10-2) sits tight at No. 4 after a couple of routs and will now travel to Missoula to battle No. 14 Montana (8-5). After two weeks at No. 7, Grand Valley State (7-0) has jumped up No. 5, aided by a pair of weekend wipeouts. The Lakers snagged the last top ballot.

There were no teams added to the Top 20 this session.
