COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – We’re back in the land of the Land of 10,000 Lakes as St. John’s hopes to give the UMLC two teams in the quarterfinals.

It won’t be easy, however.

Despite carrying the label of a “satellite” campus of the flagship Boulder institution, Colorado Denver has a student-body ten times the size of St. John’s.

That can make a difference.

The No. 25 Lynx put it to good use in the first round, knocking off No. 8 Northern Arizona.

Colorado Denver took 483-of-862 votes to clear the Lumberjacks by 12 percentage points.

Despite it’s relatively small enrollment, No. 9 St. John’s took No. 24 North Florida to the woodshed.

The Johnnies captured 886 of the 1,370 votes cast – a whopping 29 percentage points.

Who has the goods to make it to the elite eight?
