ATLANTA – Due to an administrative decision, the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference has forfeited its No. 16 seed and a new team has been added to the 16-team field for the MCLA Division I National Championship powered by Under Armour.
As mandated by MCLA bylaws, an at-large contender will replace the GRLC’s automatic bid, and the tournament selection committee has tabbed Florida State out of the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference to join the tournament.
With the addition of the Seminoles, the bottom quarter of the bracket had to be reseeded by the committee. Florida State was slotted in at No. 14, and will play No. 3 Colorado on Monday.
As such, Northeastern was moved into the No. 15 spot and will face No. 2 Grand Canyon. Top-seeded Brigham Young will now face No. 16 Michigan State.
The new matchups are listed below.
