ATLANTA – After leading Simon Fraser to a monster conference win, Red Leafs freshman attackman Lucas Oskar has been named the MCLA Division I Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending April 7.

With both Fraser and Oregon vying for the top seed in the upcoming PNCLL tournament, the Red Leafs hosted the Ducks in a critical affair.

Thanks to a hat trick and three apples from the Vancouver, B.C., native, Fraser was able to post the 12-9 triumph.

On the season, the rook has 21 goals and 12 assists – good for 4.13 points per outing.

“He's been a gamer all year for us,” said Simon Fraser coach Matt Sobey. “To come in as a freshman and lead the team in points is incredibly impressive.

“He's automatic on the crease, he always seems to get under his defender and does a great job of shielding his stick with his body to get to the front of the net. The moment never seems too big for him. He's always calm and focused on the next play.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Lucas will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O – a $120 value. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
