Friday's Scores: Liberty Late Night

It was a wild Thursday night, especially in the RMLC where the Nos. 3 and 5 teams in the country fell to conference rivals, and Friday, April 7, provided some exciting moments.

According to the Division I schedule/scores page, there were 10 games on tap for this evening.

In the last game of the day, which was scheduled to begin at 11:55 p.m. EDT, No. 21 Liberty edged Davenport in the Midnight Mayhem contest, 16-14.

No. 4 Georgia Tech housed divisional rival Auburn, 23-4 this evening.

No. 2 Grand Canyon breezed past No. 23 Arizona, 18-7, to take control of the SLC South.

In one of the weirder results of the day, Simon Fraser shut out No. 17 Boise State a rainy evening in Burnaby, 11-0.

The biggest game was obviously the No. 7 St. John's against archival St. Thomas, contest. The Johnnies made a run at it, but fell, 13-11, to the defending champs.
