TEMPE, Ariz. -- The University of Southern California qualified for the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference tournament for the first time this spring, but it was a tough debut. The Trojans ran into a defensive buzzsaw in the form of Arizona State, as the Sun Devils took the first round matchup, 16-0.
With the win, Arizona State (7-5) earns a date with top-ranked and undefeated Chapman in the semifinals in Carlsbad, Calif. USC (8-8) finishes a strong campaign under first-year coach Adam Ghitelman.
