GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Reporter Paris Moulden of the Ponte Vedra Recorder put together a great piece on former Florida lacrosse player Jamie Chapin and his legacy that is being upheld by the Gators' lacrosse program.
"Former Nease and University of Florida (UF) lacrosse star Jamie Chapin continues to be an inspiration to the Gators’ lacrosse team, and his legacy also lives on in groundbreaking cancer research at UF," wrote Moulden.
"Chapin died of a brain cancer in 2011 at the age of 25. Last year, the UF lacrosse team held the first Jamie Chapin Classic golf tournament to raise money for the UF Brain Cancer Immunotherapy Program."
