ROUND ROCK, Texas – In the first annual MCLA Alumni Sixes presented by Shootout for Soldiers, “Team Viva,” consisting of Texas A&M alums, captured the championship at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in conjunction with the 2024 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance.
Viva knocked off the Michigan State squad in one of the semifinals while Charlie Mark’s Militia (Dayton) defeated the Hoosiers (Indiana) in the other semi.
In a very close game, Viva defeated the Militia.
Texas A&M will receive a $1,000 donation from Shootout for Soliders to go toward their operating budget for 2025.
“One of our biggest assets is our alumni,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “The fact that these guys came back to represent their school and get up and down the field says a lot about them. We’re thankful for Shootout for Soliders sponsoring this wonderful event.”
