Jackets Jump Ahead in SELC D-I Poll

ATLANTA- The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, three-time defending SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) champions, were the pick in the SELC preseason coaches poll.  Four different teams received first place votes in the poll.  The Jackets, coming off a national runner-up finish in 2025 received two first place votes and a total of 13 points.  Florida State and Florida finished tied for second, but Florida State got the second place nod on a tie-breaker.  The South Carolina Gamecocks finished fourth in the poll after a strong close to the 2025 season racking up 22 points.  Georgia finished fifth in the poll with the Auburn Tigers a single point behind them in sixth.  Central Florida finished seventh with 41 total points followed by Alabama at 48 points.  SELC Newcomers Jacksonville finished eighth in the poll with 54 points.  The full results of the poll are below.
