ATLANTA -- After surviving the regular season as the only undefeated team in the division, Grand Valley State has moved into the top spot of the final MCLA Division II New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
The Lakers (11-0), who will next play in the semifinals of the UMLC tournament in White Bear Lake, Minn., grabbed all but one of the 27 first-place votes cast.
Florida Atlantic (13-2), fresh off its run to the SELC title, settled in at No. 2 as they await their seed for the 2025 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be released on Sunday evening. The Owls took home the remaining first-place vote.
UC San Diego (12-1), which spent five weeks as the top team in the land, dipped down to No. 3 after losing to No. 5 Cal State San Marcos (12-2) last Friday evening. The two teams could meet against during this weekend's SLC championship game in Santa Barbara.
Northwest Nazarene (13-2) sits tight at No. 4 and enters the PNCLL tournament in Hermiston, Ore., as one of the top seeds.
