ATLANTA – After finishing the season with 15 consecutive wins and the ALC championship, Liberty has been installed as the top Division I seed at the 2025 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be held at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex from May 5-10.
The Flames, whose previous high seed was third last spring, will face Minnesota, the champions out of the UMLC. Liberty will be looking for its third straight trip to the national semifinals while the Golden Gophers are making their fifth appearance at nationals.
Checking in at No. 2 is Utah Valley, which beat archrival Brigham Young in the RMLC title game. The Wolverines earn a contest with PNCLL champ Boise State. The Broncos knocked off the top two seeds in their league playoff to secure their spot in Round Rock.
SELC champ Georgia Tech sits in the third chair, garnering them a rematch with No. 14 Tennessee, who were the runners-up out of the ALC. Florida, the SELC runners-up, were awarded the fourth-seed to set up a Monday date with No. 13 San Diego State out of the SLC.
Defending national champion Brigham Young settles in as the No. 5 seed. The RMLC runners-up will get a shot at Cal Poly – the second-placed team out of the WCLL – in the first round. LSA champion Texas grabs the No. 6 seed and will have the opportunity to face No. 11 Colorado in the first round.
A pair of conference champions meet in the No. 7-10 matchup as CLC king Northeastern stares down WCLL belt-holder UC Santa Barbara. No. 8 Arizona State, fresh off an SLC title, meets No. 9 Florida State on day one.
Information about nationals – brackets, game times, tickets, parking, streaming, etc. – can be found on the championship section of MCLA.us.
