EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon men’s lacrosse team announced Tuesday that a key member of last year’s team, Michael Marcott, will be joining head coach Jon Bongiorno’s staff as an offensive assistant for the 2017 season.

Marcott, a native of Portland, Ore., earned MCLA All-American (Honorable Mention) status and was named to the PNCLL All-Conference first Team in his only season at Oregon. He led the PNCLL with 39 assists and added 34 goals while captaining the Ducks offense from his attack position.

Before his arrival in Eugene, Marcott was a member of the 2015 NCAA National Champion Denver team. He is a 2012 graduate of Lincoln High School (Portland), where he led the Cardinals to three Oregon State Lacrosse Championships.
