MCLA Champs Heading to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. – The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), North America’s premier non-varsity league, is proud to announce that the River City Sportsplex in Chesterfield, Va., has been selected as the host venue for its 2026 and 2027 National Championships presented by New Balance.

The 2026 national championship will take place from May 4-9 followed by the 2027 championships from May 10-15.

“We were presented with nationwide locations, and the River City Sportsplex just stood out as a solid next location.” said Ken Lovic, president of the MCLA. “We appreciate the combined pledged support from Sports Richmond, Play Chesterfield and the local community in making this a reality.”

The River City Sportsplex, a state-of-the-art facility known for its premier athletic fields and amenities, will provide the perfect setting for this prestigious tournament. It will be the first time the MCLA national championships will be held in the Richmond region – a testament to the area's growing reputation as a destination for major sporting events.
