ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Arizona State middie Nick Eck delivered goal with under two minutes to play that proved to be the difference as the 12th-seeded Sun Devils bounced No. 5 Virginia Tech in the second Division I session of the 2024 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance.

Arizona State held a 10-6 advantage at halftime, but the Hokies roared back, tying the game at 11 heading into the final frame. Eck's goal was the only scoring in the fourth.

No. 7 UC Santa Barbara held off an upset bid from No. 10 Colorado, helped by an overtime goal from Camden Dwelly, winning 11-10.

No. 6 Georgia Tech also fought off an upset bid from No. 11 California as a late stop from Peter Zagrobelny sealed the win.

No. 8 San Diego State jumped out early on No. 9 Tennessee and the Vols just couldn't claw their way back, bowing, 11-7.
