Oakland Opens Search for Head Coach

ROCHESTER, Mich. – After two years as the head coach spot and a guiding the Golden Grizzlies to the UMLC tournament semifinals, Oakland' Eric Guy has stepped down in order to pursue other international opportunities.
Oakland is currently accepting applications to fill the position of head coach of the men’s lacrosse team, which plays in Division I of the UMLC and the MCLA.
This is a full-time, 12-month position that includes both the fall and spring seasons. The team budget allows for a limited competitive pay structure based on experience and total team size.
Primary Duties
Player and assistant coaching staff recruitment, player development, staff management, scheduling, practice/game management, scouting, promotional activities and rules compliance.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to the candidate who has playing and coaching experience at the MCLA and/or NCAA level.
High level high school head coaching experience will also be considered.
Candidates should understand the unique opportunities and program at Oakland and focus on player development and overall player experience. Preference will be given to good cultural fits.
