SEATTLE – After winning its first conference championship and earning its inaugural trip to nationals in 2022, Boise State has been established as the 2023 favorite in Division I of the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Broncos (8-7) lost to both Oregon and Simon Fraser during the regular season, but stunned each in the conference tournament to punch their ticket to Round Rock. Boise State grabbed three of the six first-place votes to narrowly push them to the top spot.
Just a point behind in the second chair is Oregon (7-6), which gobbled up a pair of first-place votes.
Simon Fraser (4-2) made the most of its truncated season, earning the top seed in the PNCLL tournament. The Clan was awarded the final top vote in the preseason poll to settle in at No. 3.
Washington (5-7) and Oregon State (7-8) tied for the No. 4 spot while Washington State (1-10) rounds out the six-team poll.
