BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Rhode Island won the inaugural Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC) Division II championship with a 15-9 victory over Central Conn. State at Bridgewater-Raynham (Mass.) High School on Sunday afternoon.

The Rams (8-3) exploded out of the gate, taking a 9-3 halftime lead and coasted home for the comfortable, six-goal victory.

Charlie White led the way for Rhode Island with a career high six goals and along with a pair of helpers while Brett Dolan and Ty Kaplow each registered hat tricks.

John Joseph was solid in net, turning away CCSU (10-6) shots on the day.

Because the CLC-II awards its automatic qualifier to the regular season champion, Bridgewater State will be heading to the 2019 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
