Rhode Island Wins CLC-II Title

FITCHBURG, Mass. – For the third consecutive time, Rhode Island has captured the Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC) Division II championship, which was held Sunday at Game On Sports, after defeating Maine, 17-4.
With the victory, Rhode Island (14-1) earns an automatic qualifying berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will take place from May 8-13 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex. Tickets and live streaming for nationals can be purchased HERE.
The Rams put this one away early, rolling out to a 7-0 lead to start the game against Maine (6-3) and never looking back.
Rhode Island, which was ranked atop the New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll for much of the season, will find out its first-round matchup at the nationals this evening. The tournament field will be released on MCLA.us.
