Friday was a wild ride in both divisions of the MCLA, and Saturday could prove to be just as entertaining.

If you missed out on last night's action, Trey Lanthier put together a thorough recap of the key outcomes.

After losing to unranked UNLV on Friday, No. 1 BYU appeared to have little chance against No. 1 Cal Poly. That was completely wrong, as the Cougars knocked off the Mustangs, 6-5. And then they ate pizza.

In a defensive grinder, No. 5 Grand Canyon downed No. 6 Colorado State, 7-6 in a game that went down to the wire. Conventional wisdom would say the No. 1 spot in next week's polls will either be Georgia Tech or Grand Canyon.

The No. 8 Cal versus No. 12 Chapman game has a crisp stream to check out.

The Bears eventually subdued the defending champs, 12-5.

In Division II, No. 16 Bridgewater State was denied a ranked weekend sweep when their game against No. 9 Grove City was called at halftime because of lightning with the score tied.

Full schedule and scores.
